ZCL Dualam, a ZCL Company, is currently recruiting to the role of Laminator (multiple positions). These positions will be based out of our St. Gabriel LA (3505 Cypress Ave) field facilities. Work will be performed on client sites in multiple field locations; as such regular regional travel is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- FRP laminating and thermoplastic welding in the shop & field
- Operating equipment or using hand tools to cut, shape, splice and FRP to form parts and assemblies
- Using equipment to complete job duties including grinder
- Reading blueprints and/or reports to determine the extent of the work required including the size of the area to be prepped and the amount of material required
- Working with a certified bonder or laminator to ensure precise or complex procedures are understood and followed
- Working in a safe manner at all times consistent with company policies and procedure
- Other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
- High School equivalent diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Good understanding of the English language including verbal, written, and reading skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a plant and field environment
- Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces when required
- Ability to work out of town to conduct field jobs as required
- Ability to work variable hours including shift work
- Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 20-50 lbs., bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Qualify for TWIC card, passport, and a criminal background check
