Xerxes is currently recruiting for the role of Shipper/Receiver. This position will be based out of our Anaheim, CA (1210 North Tustin Ave) manufacturing facility. THE ROLE
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for all shipping and receiving of equipment and consumables, accurate paperwork, and keeping warehouse and tool crib organized and neat.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and dispense inventory to appropriate areas
- Verifies material and supply receipts with purchase orders and vendor packaging list and ensures received material and supply are the correct quantity, are not damaged, and meet Xerxes quality standards
- Plans approach to each shipment of product and execute to maximize available space and minimize material expense and risk of damage in shipment
- Loads completed product, materials and supplies on various modes of transportation and secures properly
- Monitors inventory levels of supplies and materials and initiate inventory requisitions to replenish supply
- Complete properly all shop order documents, bills of lading, packaging lists, address labels, handling instructions, etc. for LTL and UPS shipments
- Maintain and prepare all documentation of logs, process sheets, time cards, etc. accurately and timely
- Daily, weekly, monthly inventory within company guidelines and procedures
- Operates all hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment and machinery proficiently and safely
- Executes standard resin mixing formulations and document quantity and description of each material addition
- Maintain mixing tools and equipment clean and in good working condition
- Labels drums and other containers of mixed resin with required information for use during production
- Prepares field kit materials for packaging and shipment
- Determines that all drums are drained and transports to empty drum storage area
- Properly handles, stores, labels and disposes of hazardous waste materials
- Maintains work area neat, clean, and fee of debris
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; Post-secondary education or courses with a business or manufacturing focus would be an asset
- Proven competency in PC applications such as: MS Excel, MS Word, and ERP Software
- Good understanding of the English language including verbal, written, and reading skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as part of a team
- Ability to learn new tools and equipment
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good mathematical and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a plant environment
- Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces when required
- Ability to work variable hours including shift work
- Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 20-50 lbs., bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
